Lynden Pioneer Museum - July 10 from 9 am to 5 pm
All are welcome to join members of Grace as we journey to Lynden, WA for lunch and a visit to the Lynden Pioneer Museum. Those interested should sign up in the Narthex. The church van leaves promptly at 9 am - so don't be late!
Lunch will be at Lynden's "Dutch Mother's" Restaurant. Cost for the trip: Lunch plus admission to the museum ($4 for adults and $3 for seniors and children).

Summer Choir
The Grace Lutheran "Summer Choir" will assemble and sing for the third Sunday of each month during the summer: June 16, July 21, and August 18. Members of the congregation and visitors are welcome to join members of the Grace Sanctuary Choir and will learn and sing an anthem for each of these Sundays. Rehearsals during the week are not required! Just come to the Fireside Room by 8:30 a.m. on the designated Sundays for a 45-minute rehearsal prior to the service.
Outing to Lake Kachess! July 13th
We
had to cancel last year's trip. With the drought Lake Kachess
"disappeared."
But good news... it's back! Plan to spend all day or arrive later
for the 6:30 pm Hotdog roast. The Lake Kachess campground is a
one-hour drive from bellevue.
RSVP to the church office by July 9th.
Facilities: there is a great swimming beach, picnic, and biking area. Bring your own life jackets (no lifeguard), lawn chairs, beach games, towels, etc.
Dinner: The coals will be hot and dinner planned for 6:30 pm. Hotdogs, condiments, buns, beans, and s'more fixings will be provided. Please bring your own beverages, place settings, and something to contribute for dinner (fruit, vegetables, salad, etc.)
Directions: Drive east on I-90 to Stampede Pass #62 exit. Travel north off the exit, following signs to the Gale Creek camping area. The swimming beach is on the loop.
Camping: Some people may choose to camp on July 11, 12, and 13. Campsites at Gale Creek are first come, first served, and they go fast. You can reserve a campsite in another section by calling 1-800-280-CAMP, or call the Kachess Ranger Station at (509) 647-4411.

Wear casual clothes (t-shgirts & shorts!) to worship. Then join in a fun time of picnic games, tricycle races, hotdogs,ice cream, and a fun time spent with your church family! (All ages!)
Summer Educational Opportunity for Grace Children
Beginning July 1st Washington International School, a state registered non-profit educational institute, will be offering their summer program in Pearson Hall.
To show their appreciation, they are offering FREE lessons to five children (ages 3-13) from Grace Lutheran Church. This will be granted on a first come, first accepted basis.
Courses offered are English, Chinese, Math, Art, Chinese Martial Arts, Crafts, Music, Drama in Chinese, etc. There will also be fun field trips. SUMMER BACKPACKING TRIP TO HOLDEN VILLAGE!!
Plans for a Backpacking trip to Holden Village are underway! The hike will take place from August 6th through 12th.
Watch the Sunday Bulletins and displays in the Narthex for more information and start gathering those backpacking supplies!

Our Northwest Washington Synod is planning a delegation trip to visit our companion Synod in Moscow, Russia in late September of this year. Members of Grace are invited to come along and then go up to St. Petersburg to visit our Sister Congregation. If you are interested contact Eva Mader or Pastor Howell.
