SENIORS 2001

In addition to their usual "game days," Grace's Senior group made a number of off-campus trips.

These included visits to the Nordic Museum in Ballard and the Museum of History and Industry. There was also a memorable Argosy cruise on Lakes Union and Washington in which 31 Grace seniors participated.

One of the quieter highlights of the year was the June meeting where we recognized Gus Lindquist's 93rd birthday and his brief and modest summary of his eventful life in the northwest. Gus passed away shortly after this meeting.

Cliff Hamngton also regaled the group with his experiences as a free lance photographer and writer among the headhunters in Borneo, the Japanese whaling fleet and various Hollywood celebrities.

The group displayed a youthful capacity for dealing with a broad variety of food ranging from light snacks (with coffee), baked ham, a pie-fest, hot dogs, and pizza. Always with coffee.

At the first meeting of 2002, a luncheon on January 8th, prizes were awarded to the most alert bingo players and the luckiest pinochlers. For the record, the winners were: Dorothy Snyder, Jannie Adams, Dorine Koll, Edith Ronberg, Helen Woemer, Asger Olson, and Otto Brende.

-NEXT MEETING-

Tuesday, February 5th at 1:30 PM in Pearson Hall Games and light (more or less) snacks.
